ROG INTELLIGENT COOLING

To house such robust components, the Strix G16's chassis and motherboard underwent redesigning to accommodate a new full-width heatsink. This heatsink, with fins relocated closer to the exhaust vents, enhances cooling efficiency. Comprising three sections, the full-width heatsink envelops the motherboard with densely-packed fins, yielding a total surface area of 174,183mm² — a 71% increase from the 2022 Strix G15. This design optimizes airflow paths, facilitating the dissipation of hot air from the machine.

Furthermore, while most gaming laptops boast a dual-fan cooling system, the G16 surpasses expectations with a third fan. This additional fan aids in cooling the GPU and VRAM. Coupled with seven heatpipes and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on both the CPU and GPU*, the G16's cooling system is an engineering marvel.
